Who can buy the policy?

The customer must be a resident of GCC, travelling from GCC at the time the policy is issued and must not be aged over 75 years.

Are pre-existing medical conditions covered?

No, conditions that existed at the time of taking a trip will not be covered. See the Policy Document for the full definition of what is a pre-existing medical condition.

What is the definition of a family?

Two adults & up to four children aged 16 years and under at the date of travel for single trip policies, and for annual policies, the date the policy starts.

All policy limits apply per person as defined in the policy document.

What are the age bands available?

Children from 0–16 years old

Adult from 17-65 years old

Senior from 66-75 years old

What is an annual multi trip policy?

Provides cover for multiple trips in a 365-day period provided each trip does not exceed 92 days.

Does the policy cover losses because of a terrorist act?

Yes, there is cover, provided the additional premium has been paid. Claims related to War situations are not covered.

Are winter sports activities covered?

Yes, provided the additional premium has been paid. See the policy document for more details of the cover.

Is scuba diving covered? What about other hazardous sports?

Yes, provided the customer is not diving professionally and does not dive to a depth below 30 metres. The policy covers many activities automatically – see page 26 of the policy document for a list of included activities. There is an option to include more hazardous activities by paying an additional premium.

Are there exclusions that apply to the policy?

Yes, as with all insurance policies there are conditions and exclusions that apply. The policy wording is written in friendly English. All customers should be encouraged to read the policy wording especially the "Important Medical Information" section.

Is hiking covered under the policy?

Yes, hiking up to 4,000m is covered. There is an option to extend this up to 5,450m is hazardous activities add-on is added and an additional premium is paid.

Can I buy a single trip for multiple destinations trip?

When you buy a single trip travel insurance, you can travel to multiple destinations, as long as your trip does not last longer than 92 consecutive days and all countries you’re travelling to are part of the region selected when you purchased the insurance. Please note that you will not be covered if you travel to a country or region that the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office has advised against all or all but essential travel.

How does Annual Multi Trip Insurance work?

Travel whenever you like with an annual multi-trip travel insurance policy. It allows cover for unlimited number of trips as long as each trip does not last more than 92 days. You can choose the area of cover that’s most suitable for your travel plans, from Europe-only to Worldwide including US & Canada. You can also choose a level of cover that suits you: Standard, Schengen, Premier or Elite.

Can I amend the policy?

Travel dates cannot be amended once the trip has commenced. You can reach out to our customer support team in case of travel date changes and they will guide you.

What should I do in case I wrongly mentioned the passport number?

The following details can be amended before the travel date commences on the policy: Title, First Name, Last Name, Email address, Address, Contact detail, Passport Number

Is Helicopter Evacuation covered during Hiking/Trekking?

The policy will only pay for costs which are deemed necessary. Therefore, if the client is injured and requires assistance, the assistance company will respond with what is deemed necessary. We therefore cannot guarantee that a helicopter would be used to evacuate them - it will only be used if it is deemed necessary.

Does insurance cover cancellation due to Covid-19?

If an insured is provided with a confirmed diagnosis and is advised on medical grounds not to travel, then for Premier & Elite plans, a claim may be made, provided that the insured became ill after the insurance was taken. Please refer to the full terms and conditions of the policy that will apply.

Are cruises covered by this policy?

Yes, travel by aircraft, ship, cruise ship, coach or train is covered.
